I received a telemarketing call from a heavily right-wing religious group called 'dove' earlier today, a hangup. I did a *69 trace and putting it into google I came up with a page of people complaining they either get hang ups or rude phone calls and then their information is put into a statistical number saying '94% of people we call agree with this'. Their cause is to promote television or movies that have absolutely no profanity or religious difference to christianity (see their 'harry potter' review). They have an online poll which they also claim speaks for americans, and are somehow taken as a charity group and received federal status of such so they can get past the national do not call list.

Didn't know if anyone here would like to put a damper on these tactics of their's.

2. I've actually spoken to those people...

...and told them there are a lot more things to worry about than profanity in movies and if you don't want your kids to see it there are plenty of ways to prevent it.

I also told him if profane movies continue to make money, they will continue to be made.

He said goodbye and hung up.
