This is my 1000th post and I'd like to make it meaningful.

I am not a big time poster. I got turned on to this awesome website way back in 2001 by reading the Top 10 Conservative Idiots, Equal Time with Bob Boudelang (God, I miss him!) and the Hate Mailbag. I miss them all actually. I still come here every day first thing in the morning to see the news. It's my newspaper, but better: I get to talk back!

This is where I come to find out what's really going on in the world. This is where I can find real thinkers and good writers like Nance Greggs and David Swanson and many others that put things so perfectly in perspective. The videos, blogs, and discussion boards are a resource that I would sorely miss if they were not here. DU has shaped my mind and has opened my eyes to so many new points of view that I wouldn't be the same person I am today without it.

Thank you Democratic Underground. Thank you liberals.
