Watching the theater in the United States House of Representatives convinced me once and for all that the Democratic will never, ever see another penny from me.

Ever.

If some young, truthful DUer wants to start a political party in America that stands for liberal principles, not progressive, LIBERAL principles, I am all ears.

... to liberal interest groups such as ACLU, NAACP, NOW, and other groups promulgating the values with which I concur. When I contribute to a candidate's campaign, it's more often in the Primary - such as Kucinich - in order that the issues being addressed by that candidate are heard. It's the VOICE that I support. Obama's general campaign was an exception - I contributed - due to its historical nature and my respect for the character of the candidate. I will, however, continue to focus on issue-based advocacy in making any contributions.
