2. You could try disabling javaScript in your browser.

It will, unfortunately, disable the spell-checker too, but it gets rid of those ads.

7. Yes, looking at this site the past few weeks has been crappy.

But, I thought it was my computer screwing up.

8. It's NOT just DU

I thought it was at first, too, but it seems to be something having to do with Adobe Flash. Lately, any site containing any flash ads loads ssslllloooowwwwllly, and the pages don't load all the way until every frame of the ad loads.

I don't know of a fix, but it isn't just DU. It's endemic.

9. You might try this

Install the http://www.mozilla.com/firefox">Firefox browser and then install the https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/722">NoScript plugin.

Being as I have ads turned off, I don't know if this works for DU. I do know that NoScript makes my surfing experience much more enjoyable when I'm on script-heavy sites.

10. DU is pokey lately even with FireFox browser. IE is even worse.

It's like something is not loading. I only see the ads that paid donors see, but something in not loading correctly.

11. That's why is suggested NoScript

It can disable Google scripts like Google Analytics, as well as turn off ads.

Like I said. I don't seem to have any problems. That might be because I rarely visit the front or Greatest pages. I usually go directly to the Discussions pages. I'm also using Windows 2000 for a operating system and that might be a reason why my DU experience seems uneventful, bug-wise.
