.... until we can.
You know, when you train a dog, you need to be consistent. If you're not, or if you equivocate, the dog will shit all over you. They sense weakness. Similarly, if you want to be seen as a stalwart leader, you need to say what you mean and mean what you say. If you're not, or if you equivocate, the opposition/your followers will shit all over you.
If you show lots of bluster and then back down, you need to stop trying to be a leader.
I have thought pretty much from the start that unless he was actually convicted or impeached, Blago had every legal right to appoint whomever he wished. That fart-in-a-windstorm, Fitzgerald, wasn't going to stand in anyone's way; he was just gonna make some noise, fling some shit, and then go away. Meanwhile, Leader Harry is standing there with his limp dick in his hand, looking for all the world like a loser.
This was, overall, a sad and sorry episode. I think at least one head ought to roll .... "Leader" Harry's. He can't run with the big dogs anymore, so he just needs to stay on the porch.
(Note, this thread is NOT to imply that Burris is a dog ..... just in case your head strayed there.)
