Anyone interested in trying to set up a fund for the citizens of Gaza?

Inspired by a story in LBN of a Rabbi who raised $100,000.00 in two days for Israeli troops for care packages.

I can do the website, but have absolutely no idea on how to create a transparent fund for anything. This would take a lot of talent and people to make it real. Any input would be appreciated.

2. Through the "humanitarian" gates Israel is allowing or even air drops.

Therein is a part of the problem. If we could start a fund and get airtime, we could get it in one way or the other.

I donated to United Arab Appeal after seeing a representative on Democracy Now. I believe Amy would only have on a representative from a reputable group. Perhaps go to Democracy Now online and check them out.

6. Plenty of charities are already doing good work in that area.

Why not donate to one of those? It's probably a lot less hassle and basically has the same effect.

7. I think sending money is a great idea..

but in such a difficult situation, to make sure it gets where it's needed, it would be best to give it to organizations that are already working there.

Physicians for Human Rights- Israel are taking donations for medical aid. One way of donating is to donate to the British Shalom Salaam Trust, and include a request that the money be passed to this organization.

Medical Aid for Palestinians, a British charity:
