When "dittoheads" bash "socialism"...
...then ask them this:

Getting at least something socially oriented for our tax dollars instead of subsidizing multimillionaires, bailing out corporate interests, and funding unnecessary war is somehow a bad thing?

2. They're Selfish Assholes
Many of these asshats only care about themselves and keeping their money. They're the ultimate freeloaders since not only don't they want to pay for government services, they expect others to pay for it or to get it for free. This isn't about social security or medicare, but simple things as road repair and garbage pick-up. They bitch about paying too much in taxes, yet are the first to scream when the roads don't get plowed or their mail isn't delivered. Totally detached from reality cause they're so self absorbed.

4. So true...
---

I work for a Public Works Department in a "well-to-do" SoCal city.

When anyone wants above and beyond service, such as asking us to go on private property to clear drainage channels, etc...guess who calls City Hall and raises Hell?

It's the upper income residents 95% of the time. The ones in their million dollar homes.

3. just ask if they like emergency social services like the fire department
or police... or if they like roads and street lights.

There are tons of "socialist like" aspects to our society that are generally considered good .. people who scream about how we can't do something because "it's just like socialism" are blind idiots.

5. Here's the Repuke mindset:
"Tax Money for someone other than middle class to rich white guys like me = socialism".

"Tax Money to bail out corporations and the wealthy that I'll be running and part of someday = fiscal responsibility"

Everyone got that? Good. Find your nearest Republican and kick him/her in the ass.

6. I usually ask them if they are the recipient of gov't largesse
in some way.

My SiL, for instance, receives Social Security Disability because she is emotionally too disabled to work. Yet, she complains about Baracks "redistribution of wealth." :eyes:

A family friend used to work at the hotel connected with UNC. That's right, she had a gov't job. She voted for every RW candidate she should find and followed Fox Noise faithfully.

They don't understand their hypocrisy until you point it out to them.

8. They throw that word around like it's something rare and forbidden.
Every country in the world has programs that would be considered socialist. If the U.S. became a purely capitalist society, it would be the only one in the world.

12. The Roads Thing!
That's my favorite. I've been saying that for years. I tell them to only use private roads. Don't use roads paid for by the gov't because infrastructure is actually a socialist enterprise since it takes money from everyone and distributes it outward toward thousands and thousands and thousands of average workers. This frees up less skilled and lower paying positions for people entering the job market.

Just like the goal of socialism.

They never have any reply to that.

13. Conservatives want it all, but they don't want to pay for any of it.
Put it on the credit card and let the next generation pay for it.

A very classy bunch of slime, eh?

15. Yeah but they have an obvious come back
Instead of paying for "socially oriented" programs, why doesn't the state let us keep our damn money? Can't you take care of your family better than the government?
