I'm begging you, at the cost of my life, to understand that you are both human beings, related about 99% by your DNA and biological heritage, and that you are amazing, intelligent, beautiful people, with families, and sons and daughters, and that it's time to make friends..."

I know... You are laughing your asses off, and maybe rightly so.

Is there ANYONE in this world who could say those words and bring these two beautiful peoples--Israeli and Palestinian--together? Once and for all?

We can do this, I know we can.

If we could make these two populations friends, I think we, as a globe, could do anything. Anything.

And we will need to. The next two to four years will be a living hell for a lot of countries, including the industrialized nations. We will all have to help each other.

We will hang together or hang alone. I'm ashamed to say I don't know who said it. Was it Lincoln?

I think all of us could do it. Just a huge fucking army of Nice. Just making people love each other and just see we are humans nothing really more or less.
We have all created this mess. All of us, we humans have spent thousands of years just trying to find some little difference about one another and then we focus on it till becomes red hot hate. That is what every war or argument has ever been about. We focus on a difference till it makes us nuts, and we humans just go and kill each other.

I am for the Army of Nice..... The army of human..... That is my thought I will always hold out hope for every time I am present enough to care. The Army of NOWtense the army of.... The Army of being present...... being in the present enough to look at everyone and just be nice and say glad you showed up for this ride.

I would join that army if I could wake up enough to be present all the time.
