1. His stance on Mary Jane just shit-canned him for me. He is such a tight-ass.
If you shoved a lump of coal down his throat this x-mas, he'd be shitting diamonds now he is such a tight-ass.

Why I Would Vote No On Pot
By Sanjay Gupta

http://www.time.com/time/magazine/article/0,9171,1552034,00.html

But I suspect that most of the people eager to vote yes on the new ballot measures aren't suffering from glaucoma, Alzheimer's or chemo-induced nausea. Many of them just want to get stoned legally. That's why I, like many other doctors, am unimpressed with the proposed legislation, which would legalize marijuana irrespective of any medical condition.

Why do I care? As Dr. Nora Volkow, director of the National Institute on Drug Abuse, puts it, "Numerous deleterious health consequences are associated with short- and long-term use, including the possibility of becoming addicted."

What are other health consequences? Frequent marijuana use can seriously affect your short-term memory. It can impair your cognitive ability (why do you think people call it dope?) and lead to long-lasting depression or anxiety. While many people smoke marijuana to relax, it can have the opposite effect on frequent users. And smoking anything, whether it's tobacco or marijuana, can seriously damage your lung tissue.

14. Anyone against Single Payer/UHC is a giant floppy penis. End of sentence.
UHC is the RIGHT thing to do, it's the thing we NEED to do. The current system makes indentured servants out of anyone unlucky enough to get surgery-level/long-term-care-level sick and excludes multiple thousands for the crime of a pre-existing condition.

The last thing this country needs is a Big Pharma/Big Insurance shill who supports the 37th-ranked, most expensive and one of the least efficient, nonsensical health care systems ever imagined as the correct way of doing things. You aren't just throwing "Teh Loonah Left" under the bus, you're throwing 1/5 of Americans under it. Get rid of Insurance-based Health care NOW before this country is shitted up worse than it already is.

19. He was "writing speeches and crafting policy for Hillary Clinton"

"The Michigan-born son of parents who were born in India, Gupta has always been drawn to health policy. He was a White House fellow in the late 1990s, writing speeches and crafting policy for Hillary Clinton. His appointment would give the administration a prominent official of South Asian descent and a skilled television spokesman."

24. He'll Look Soooo Official With Those Epilets
I used to laugh at C. Everett Koop...and called him Capt'n Crunch. But I do give Koop credit for bucking the Raygun machine in standing up to the claim that AIDS was a "gay disease" and the silliness about "Abstinence Education" and the use of contraception to prevent the spread of sexual diseases.

Gupta is a company man...since CNN makes millions from Big Pharma and other corporates, he makes sure their investment is well spent. Now let's see if he does a similar job in pushing universal health care and bringing care to millions who are now without coverage. If he can sell that sponsor, then maybe we'll be the one getting the last laugh.

so rather than be so irritating as to point the hypocrisy I'll just choose to LMAO. :)

27. You'd Think We Lost The Election
All the angst...and "concern" is to be expected...I guess. There were a lot of high expectations around here and Santa didn't quite deliver the right toy. But still, I'd rather be facing these concerns than the dread of what could have been if Gramps had "won".

What will be sureal will be his confirmation hearings. Will CNN carry them and will it be sponsored by Montell and his drug bus?

25. Micheal fucking Moore drank Gupta's milkshake on Larry King
The man misquoted Moore and had to admit it, too ignorant to know the figure he was quoting was off by an order of magnitude.

Then he really walks into the spinning propeller when he uses Micheal’s own line about the French are drowning in taxes to say his film didn’t mention the fact. He was utterly speechless about it. (snarf)
