call me stupid, call me dumb but I still can't figure this meltdown out
how the hell does all the money in the world disappear and still allow the Tampa Bay Rays to pay a guy 8 million dollars a year for two years? Meanwhile, the rest of the world has no jobs.

I'm lost on this, totally lost and beginning to believe that it's all a made up story by whoever controls the money flow around the world.

I'd buy a tinfoil hat but Alcoa is laying off 15,000 workers and freezing wages and benefits as I type this.

1. As long as the guy did not put a gun to anybody's head and they will pay him $8 million,
then more power to him. Bottom line: life is not fair. I know of no way to change that.

2. The rich got so much richer, they got most of the money in the world.
The rest of us have about a dollar left. Don't spend it all in one place.

4. In a few years, they may have a problem when nobody can afford to go to the games
and television revenue dries up.

5. TV revenues won't dry up for sports
I wokr in the sports industry. No one goes to Tampa Games anyway. Advertisers love sports because they do get huge ratings.

7. Case in point...
It would cost the three of us $171 to attend a Sabres game in Buffalo before we even left our living room!

...and that is for 300 Level III seats!

6. It is the reason I am losing touch with sports, they are losing touch with reality.

8. *it's all a made up story by whoever controls the money flow around the world.*
That's about right. That's how the rich get richer and steal things.

9. I didn't post this to be about sports.
I'm watching as more and more people in the U.S. of A. become unemployed, as the states run out of funding for medicare and people are actually waking up to the ponzi scheme of the stock market.

What happens next? Will there be large uninhabited housing developments while many go homeless? Will food rot in the supermarkets because less people will be able to buy it? This is scary ground we're going to and no one seems to be doing anything but playig politics with our lives. (and no, I'm not bashing Obama).
