Anyone speaks Turkish?
Now that I've managed to track down the lyrics to a song I've recently discovered and that I like listening to, I was wondering if anyone could translate.

The song is "Belamim Benim" by Turkish singer Emrah. In short version of the song, stanzas 1 and 2 are omitted. Here are the lyrics, and TIA for any help:

(Stanza 1 - 2x)
Yoluna cikmaya cesaretim yok
herhalin yolundan döndürür beni
söyle bir bakmaya cesaretim yok
rüzgarin alevsiz söndürür beni

(Stanza 2)
Nasil etsem bir yolunu bulamiyorum
seni bir baskasindan soramiyorum
ne yapsam icimden atamiyorum
askim hasretinden öldürür beni

(Chorus - 2x)
Belalim benim, belalim benim
ahi bu gönlüme helalim benim
kurtulamam derdinden (derdinden)
günahlarindan,
günahlari boynuma hevalim benim

(Stanza 3)
Caresiz kalmisim, cikar yolum yok
Sensiz yasamaya hic umudum yok
Derdine düsmüsüm, dertsiz günüm yok
hasret uzaginda öldürür beni

(Stanza 2 again)
(Chorus until fade)

2. aw... thanks, but that didn't work
Turkish isn't on the list of languages there.

I actually cobbled these lyrics together from 2 pages: http://www.songstexts.info/116981,Emrah,Belalim_benim.html (which had mangled some of the characters) and http://nava.unblog.fr/.

3. seni seviyorum
try Babelfish

otherwise if seni is "I" then beni and benim are probably "you"

I remember an internet video of a foreign couple jammin, with their kids, to a song which, in clear English, was saying "I wanna f*ck you in the a** ..."

and the kids and the couple were smiling ...

7. Here's a VERY rough English translation of all but Stanza 3
I am afraid to cross your path
Every state you're in makes me stray from mine
I am afraid to gaze upon you
My wind has no blaze - it burns me out

Whatever I do, I cannot find a way
I cannot take you from anyone else
Whatever I do, I cannot purge your memory
Your love is killing me in your absence

My oppression
My righteous desire
I cannot be saved from your distress
From your sins
My oppression
Let your sins be upon me
My oppression

10. oops, sorry, didn't see that you had already posted.

I'm getting from the youtube vid that this is a song about illicit love, Romeo and Juliette style, and that she's been killed by her family for it?

8. Here's a bad one, but maybe it'll give you an idea.
:)

Belalim benim
MY TROUBLESOME

Yoluna çIkmaya cesaretim yok
I HAVE NO COURAGE FOR CROSSING YOUR PATH
Her halin yolumdan döndürür beni
YOUR EVERY STATE MAKE ME RETURN FROM MY PATH
Şöyle bir bakmaya cesaretim yok
I HAVE NO COURAGE FOR HAVING A LOOK (AT YOU)
RüzgarIm alevsiz..söndürür beni
MY WIND IS WITHOUT BLAZE... BLOWS ME OUT....

NasIl etsem bir yolunu bulamIyorum
WHATEVER I DO, I CANNOT FIND A WAY
Seni bir baŞkasIndan soramIyorum
I CANNOT ASK YOU FROM ANYONE ELSE
Ne yapsam içimden atamIyorum
WHATEVER I DO, I CANNOT TAKE YOU OUT OF MY INSIDE
AŞkIn hasretinde öldürür beni
YOUR LOVE KILLS ME IN YOUR LONGING ( YOUR LOVE KILLS ME WHILE I AM MISSING YOU)
BelalIm benim
MY TROUBLESOME
Ah bu gönlüme helalim benim
AH MY PERMISSIBLE FOR MY HEART*
Kurtulamam derdindeN
I CANNOT BE SAVED FROM YOUR DISTRESS
GünahlarIndan
FROM YOUR SINS
BelalIm benim
MY TROUBLESOME
GünahlarIn boynuma
LET YOUR SINS BE MINE**
BelalIm benim
MY TROUBLESOME

*means that you are legally permissible for my heart. the word "helal" usually has an Islamic meaning which is "not sinful".
**this is not word-to-word translation.

12. Wow, you guys rock! Thank you so much.
I sorta figured part of the meaning from the video, but the lyrics help to get a better sense of what's going on... in this case, overwhelming sadness.
