Being an Evil DUer, I subscribed to the Libby Defense mail list. Got this today:

Dear supporter,

The Wall Street Journal editorial page called the verdict in the Scooter Libby a case "travesty of justice" and "a case that never should have been brought." The New York Post, The New York Sun, National Review and others, such as columnists Charles Krauthammer, Fred Barnes, Kate O'Beirne, Mark Steyn, and Robert Novak are just a few, among the many, who agree. This continues to be a grave injustice and we are united in fighting on.

As Scooter¹s lawyer, Ted Wells, said, we are all disappointed in the verdict. His attorneys will seek a new trial and if that¹s denied, they will appeal. The defense team fervently believes in Scooter¹s innocence as do the many distinguished members of the Libby Legal Defense Trust. Scooter is a good man and a distinguished public servant who has been wrongly accused.

I'm writing to you today to ask for your support.

With vital legal appeal work now continuing every day, I am writing to ask if we can count on your support.
