Israeli Ambassador Issacharoff on Washington Journal
blah blah blah we are not targeting civilians- which brings to mind the question, "so what"? If you know that what you're going to do will cause lots of civilian deaths, and that's acceptable to you, how is that a moral stance?

1. I just heard that driving home
I thought about his statement and I really can't see much difference between intentionally targeting civilians and targeting spots where Israel knows very well that civilians are. The Geneva Convention does not allow such targeting, even if the other party is in violation by staging their attacks from civilian areas, UNLESS there is IMMINENT danger. Obviously, with a pretty good early warning system in place, Israel is not in imminent danger of attack from spots like the market square that they bombed and killed women and children.

I wonder who in our government will have enough gravitas and courage to directly confront them on this?
