4. I don't watch it. American "news" shows are a joke.
So is Gregory.

5. Yes.
I didn't care for his program on MSNBC nor do I care for him on Meet The Press. He seems too aggressive.

7. Yes, BUT he is getting A-List guests
and trying to do his homework.

The main problem? He does not project a "personality".

Tim did, no matter how much I was irritated by him.

Brokaw was a yawner as a stand-in.

8. I tuned it out when they picked David (Dancing with "MC Rove" Gregory...
and couldn't stand Russert...so with me it was who was the "star" that they would "grill."

As the years went buy I got tired of their "Gottcha Policy" with Russert and Gregory? Ho Hum...why would I want to watch someone who got his kicks and stardom from "MC Rove" duets in front of the White House National Press Club Dinner? :eyes: I'd rather poke "me eyes out" with sticks.

11. How could it be boring, with
Mr. JaneAustin throwing things at the teevee and hollering "Aw, Fuck you," at Mr. Gregory?

You see, Mr. JaneAustin used to be a reporter - and a damned good one, too.

It galls him more than you can imagine to see a guy like Gregory, who should know better, being nothing more than a hack.

12. Less boring than it was with Brokaw
it's actually watchable now even if I don't like the guests or the host.

13. Yes. Boring.
He needs Chris Matthews on as a special guest to liven up the show. :-)

15. I haven't watched that POS show in ten years
Ever since Russert's face used to turn all red and glowey and his eyes lit up whenever he mentioned Monica Lewinsy.

16. I thought it was a damned sight better than the show with Russert.
Those public blowjobs of GOP leadership were tiresome to me.

And while I think his PANEL MEMBERSHIP needs improvement, at least we're getting an opportunity to "MEET THE PRESS" instead of simply meeting the late Tim Potatohead.

The format is more like the original format, back in the day when they were interviewing MLK, JFK, LBJ...people with INITIALS. Maybe they'll take it a step further, and after the interview portion, allow "the press" to TAKE TURNS asking questions.

I thought the discussion today was more substantive than the crap Russert put out. I think, with time, Gregory will get very good.

Any guy who can piss Bush off just by speaking French cannot be all bad.
