"Get Out Our House", a musical goodbye to GW by That Guitar Man from Central Park
David Ippolito, also known as "That Guitar Man from Central Park", wrote this song back in 2003, expressing the sentiments we were all feeling then about Goofy George W Bush: it's time to get out of the people's WhiteHouse, Dubya! He posted here at DU during that time period as well.

I remembered "Get Out Our House" and thought it would be a great time for a replay (especially since George can't say no this time), so I contacted David and got this reply:

I'll do a special update at my website tomorrow, okay? And, I'll make the link to a FREE download for everyone.

I'm actually planning to do a concert on January 24th to both celebrate the inauguration AND retire a whole bunch of those songs that I NEVER want to hafta sing again.

Still, some of them will still hang around! I mean, I can't imagine the religious-right-wing is gonna go away any time soon. So, "The Religion Song" is staying. AND, I''ll probably just change a few lyrics in "JesusLand". And, I'm gonna spend the next year going after the O'Reilly's, Hannity's and Limbaughs of this world. So, songs like "Bill O'Reilly: The Legend of the Big Giant Head" will still be relevant.

But, it's gonna feel good to retire songs like, "Before George Bush" and "Don't Know Palin"

Anyway, thanks for asking. Yeah, good time.

Tell everyone to check in to my website tomorrow for the link. Cool?

PEACE

- David

David will celebrate the end of a nightmarish era and the beginning of a new time of hope for America with "The 8 Year Concert" on Jan. 24th at the H.I. New York Performance Hall - 891 Amsterdam Ave @ 103 Street.
