5 New Years Resolutions I vow to keep.
1. I will not accept a Multi-Billion bailout from Congress.

2. I will defy all efforts to name me a Supreme Court Justice.

3. I vow not to win the Boston Marathon.

4. I will hang up when Elizabeth Kucinich calls and begs me to have an affair.

5. I will refuse to appear on the cover of GQ magazine.

I was going to add "I will not vote Republican", but that would be too easy a vow to keep.

Add your own resolutions.

2. Well, does that mean you'll accept the
offer to be on the cover of Vogue? Like standing in front of an airplane?

3. Well, being as I live in EST ...
... I'm way ahead of you.

1. I've already turned down the multi-billion dollar bailout from Congress. They are meeting as we speak, astounded at my vehemence.

2. I'd already accepted being named as potential Supreme Court Justice. Then found out they are expected to be at work before 9:00 a.m. when sitting - name since withdrawn.

3. Won Boston Marathon last night - it was unannounced, so the competition was "light". But, hey, a win is a win.

4. Elizabeth Kucinich and I split up just after I won the Boston Marathon. She was tearful - I was adamant. "What part of it's over do you not understand, Lizzie?"

5. I, too, will refuse to appear on the cover of GQ magazine. Having already turned down the cover of Sports Illustrated's Swimsuit issue, it seemed only fair to say no to everyone.

6. A fellow traveler, I see.
I had to turn down the SI swimsuit issue because of their discriminatory policy against hairy legs and beards.

Happy New Year, Nance, from an admirer of fine writing. :hi: :applause:

10. Well, I'll get back to you when she calls.
I have to admit, that would be the one resolution that would be in danger of breakage.
