Bill Clinton officiates at the funeral of a local educator/coach
One thing I admire about Clinton is that he hasn't forgotten where he came from.

Funeral services for Coach Huber were held on Saturday, December 20th, at the First Baptist Church in Teague, and were officiated in part by former President Bill Clinton, along with Steve Beaird, Rev. Robert Besser, and Rev. Jeff Powers. The former President and his wife Senator Hillary Clinton have been close friends with Huber and his family since the time of Bill Clinton’s Governorship in Arkansas. Coach Huber’s mother, Carolyn, had worked at the Rose Law Firm with Hillary Clinton when her husband was elected Governor, and
Mrs. Clinton invited Carolyn Huber to take a position as the Governor’s Mansion Administrator. After President Clinton’s enauguration to the Oval Office in 1992, Carolyn Huber traveled with them to
Washington D.C. as a personal secretary to the President and First Lady.

In addition to teaching several subjects, Coach Huber served as Boys’ Athletic Director and Head Football Coach during his long career with the TISD. Later, he served as Girls’ Athletic Director and Head Volleyball Coach, leaving an impressive legacy in that capacity. His volleyball teams won over 200 matches, and won two District Championships and two Bi-District Championships. Coach Huber was selected as District Coach of the Year on two occasions. Coach Huber also made several trips with TISD students to Washington, D.C., serving as a tour guide for the students while educating them on the history of our nation’s capitol.

The community will mourn his loss for a long time to come. “He will definitely be missed,” said Superintendent Burns.

1. Thank you for posting this article.
Bill gets bashed a lot around here, but he's basically a good man.

5. In true Bill Clinton mode, it depends how you define "is"
In reality, Clinton, like most other people is a mix of good and bad. Although he has some major flaws, he is more "good" than "bad". This is a nice human side of the Clintons.

6. Yes, he is.
He is far from being perfect, but he's a good guy who believes in public service and helping others, so does Hillary. He could have retired to play golf and give speeches, and he still could have raked in the big bucks. Instead, he chose to establish the Clinton Foundation and the Clinton Aids Global Initiative. Thousands of people are alive, and millions will be in the future, thanks to both of these charitable institutions.

I would have taken Bill as president for a third term in a heartbeat, and I'm far from being the only one who feels that way.

;-)
