2. They've had a Yule Log on WPIX in New York...
since the 60's. I used to watch it just for laughs while wondering who in their right mind would watch that for 3+ hours.

5. They are playing radio programs (up first was "It's A Wonderful Life".).
Included were the radio commercials of starlets selling, for instance, Lux Toilet Soap. I found it kind of amusing.

Sit down and watch, no, but have on in the background as you clean up, cook, wrap presents, horse around... it helped create a nice atmosphere.

14. Just finished a radio version of the Miracle on 34th St with original cast.

now Orson Welles is introducing "A Christmas Carol" starring Lionel Barrymore.. Welles is narrating it.

They even play the original old commercials...LUX Soap, etc.

19. The tried it on a local staton but it didn't work well.....
for some reason a Yule log in the fireplace doesn't translate well to radio!;)
