Here in WI, this guy, got 4 years, for a fifth and sixth drunk-driving arrest.

Wisconsin is one of those states with the highest numbers of drunk drivers.

I blame the fucking Tavern Lobby. :grr:

1. Texas is very relaxed
....a drunk driving charge against you can lead to you becoming governor or even president!

2. Strict as a 19th Cen Catholic Girls School
:P

Legal limit is 0.08%.

Law Enforcement of all stripes make a BIG show of being out and about just before during and after all Holidays, 3-Day weekends, and make use of sobriety check points. They will also sometimes put up surprise checkpoints at other times of the year.

3. A law just passed that makes it mandatory for a first time offender
to have a breath machine placed in the offenders car and after the car is started and under way it again requires the driver to blow in the machine to keep the vehicle going. A little expensive but this is something that will lower repeat offenders considerably.

Something like that.
