Am I getting this?
Is Bush essentially saying that Miers and Rove can talk to Congress, they just won't swear that it's the truth?

Now I've heard everything.

1. Well...........
They can be interviewed, but can't testify. Sigh.

I think we'll hear a lot more of this *&^% before Shrub and his comrades go down for the count.

2. Yep, that's basically it.
KKKarl and Harriet can talk to Congress in private as long as they aren't under oath and there are no transcripts.

In other words, they can talk as long as they can lie with impunity.

3. You've got it just fine.
We are dealing with people that cannot tell the truth.

4. ...since it's illegal to lie to Congress, oath or no oath.
But, NO TRANSCRIPTS either so try and prove contempt of congress...

They are flat out admitting they have no intention of telling the truth.

Hey, if lying to Congress is a crime... lets roll that tape of bush/cheney and why we need to pass the IWR and Patriot Act and invade an innocent nation....

5. Problem is there is already testimony under oath, I believe???
So, now that testimony cannot be contradicted without committing a crime. What is being avoided is creating evidence.

6. And don't forget....
That the "talks" have to be in private and there can be no transcripts of the conversations.

This is Utter arrogance to even suggest as a compromise to the Dems, and then threaten to take this "offer" off the table is supponeas are issued.

7. And only certain chosen people can talk to them.
And there are certain subjects that are taboo to ask about.

And there will be no transcript available of the answers.

I don't know if Bush is requiring the Chosen Senators to wear earplugs or not.

8. Just like the dick and bush
would only talk to the 9-11 commission in a perjury free zone, with the dick keeping the bush in line.
