Poll question: Out of the last 7 biennial federal elections, how many did you vote in?
Edited on Sat Dec-20-08 02:09 PM by Bucky
I'm talking about the November elections in even numbered years for president & Congress. To be more precise and not exclude the under 20 whippersnappers, let's change the question to How many recent elections did you not vote in, but for which you were eligible to vote? We'll start the counting at the 1996 elections

4. Shut up you homophobe!
Oops wrong thread. Thanks, I'll fix it.

But FWIW, there used to be a job title of President of Congress back in the 1780s.

3. I haven't missed any election, federal, state, or local
since I turned 21 in 1966. I don't plan to miss any until I'm ashes floating down the Mississippi River.

8. I've voted in every damn election since 1970.I would have voted in 1968, but they lowered the voting
age too late for me take advantage.

What's the point of your question, if I may ask?

9. I've voted in every federal election since 1972

10. I chose not to vote in one congressional election because both candidates sucked.
And, the "lesser of two evils" ploy didn't work on my nose.

It was 2000. I live in CT so I figured we would turn blue and obviously we did. If I lived in Red State, forget it. You would have had to drag me there. I have voted in every federal election except that one.

19. I may have missed a small local election once or twice...
None at all since 1999 at the absolute latest.

Sometimes, I've written in members of my family (when a jerk was running unopposed for instance), but I do show up.

2006 miterms-- voted
2008 primary (presidential)-- voted
