Fundies: Soup is Gay Food

from the always-entertaining freaks at the American Family Association:

Campbell Soup Company embraces homosexual agenda

Send an email to Campbell Soup Company President Douglas Conant. Tell him you want his company to stop supporting the gay agenda.

In the December, 2008 and January, 2009 issues, Campbell Soup Company bought two, two-page advertisements in the latest issues of the nation's largest homosexual magazine, "The Advocate." The ads promote their Swanson line of broth.

In one of the December ads, the Campbell Soup Company highlighted the lives of two lesbians with their son. The others feature New York City chefs. See the ads here.

Campbell Soup Company has openly begun helping homosexual activists push their agenda. Not only did the ads cost Campbell's a chunk of money, but they also sent a message that homosexual parents constitute a family and are worthy of support. They also gave their approval to the entire homosexual agenda.

TAKE ACTION

* Send an email to Campbell Soup Company President Douglas Conant. Tell him you want his company to stop supporting the gay agenda.

* After sending your email, please call Campbell Soup Company (800-257-8443) and their Swanson division (1-800-442-7684) and ask the company to remain neutral in the culture war.

* Forward this e-mail to your friends and family so they will know about Campbell's support of the gay agenda.

That they are making baby Jesus cry.

Where Is the Media Coverage On How Campbell's Is Being Denied Political Expression?
When gays boycott homophobic mormons who donated to Prop 8, oh my lord, what an uproar! We were "hateful people" who "against free speech" and "using blackmail to push our agenda of hate"!

It was in all the newspapers. Where are the columns denouncing the American Family Association? I guess they're just waiting for Rick Warren to apologize on their behalf at the inauguration.

65. Campbell's email address is:
Edited on Sat Dec-20-08 01:42 PM by krispos42
douglas_r_conant@cambellsoup.com

That's the email addy the fundies want to send their "letter" .

Dear President Conant:

I request that Campbell Soup Company stop promoting the homosexual agenda and remain neutral in the culture war. I certainly hope you will honor my request by no longer placing ads in homosexual publications like "The Advocate." Campbell's should not take sides in a political battle, but put your efforts in producing the finest products you can.

I will await word from American Family Association for your response before deciding whether or not to continue to purchase your products.

That's what they want people to send.

Douglas R. Conant, President
Campbell Soup Company
Campbell Place
Camden, NJ 08103
Phone: 1-800-442-7684
or: 1-800-257-8443

I sent this instead:

Dear Sir,

It has come to my attention via the blogosphere (democraticunderground.com) that the American Family Association is running an online petition drive to attempt to punish and dissuade you from advertising in several magazines orientated to the homosexual reader.

While I understand that you can't openly tell those bigoted, small-minded, nosy, sanctimonious, theocratic, busybodies to shove a can of tomato soup, sideways, where the sun doesn't shine, please understand you have my compete support for your advertising campaign.

And if you can find a way to politely and discretely tell them to shove, sideways, the aforementioned can of tomato soup where the sun doesn't shine, then by all means do so. There are great swaths of the population that enjoy seeing such fundamentalists twitted.

<krispos42>
