Warren's disgusting remarks give Obama a perfect reason to dump him.

If gays were a 'color', Warren's remarks would be considered racist.

never mind his biblical attitudes about a women's place on the scale of the universe.

Warren's remarks only days ago, are in my mind, no better than any blatantly racist statements would be.
Comparing gay couples to pedophiles, and comparing gay marriage to incest, is vile and disgusting.

Obama could easily, and should, use this as a reason to dump Warren. It would be more than justified, the perfect opening to exit this mess.

it is wrong for Obama to include Warren in what is supposed to be a "sacred" ceremony. This 'beginning of a new era' will supposedly be symbolized in the inauguration ceremony.

2. I agree except for the word "sacred"
It is a secular, not a religious ceremony.

6. I almost included a religious disclaimer for that word
Edited on Fri Dec-19-08 07:41 PM by G_j
No, I suppose there are other words to describe a symbolic and poignant ceremony.
Even the word ceremony has it's religious implications.
Still, we all can partake in certain forms of celebration and symbolism, without religion...
:-)
and still, I would accept a more inclusive religious figure right now.

13. And if were supposed to be a "sacred" ceremony - the mere presence of Warren ruins the "sacred"

7. While it's impresive that Obama and his advisors didn't foresee- or decided purposefully
to ignite this shitstorm- it would just make matters worse if they rescinded the invitation at this point.

The damage is already done- and Warren's too smart to say anything Dobson like over the next several weeks.
