This says it all! (Yes, another queer refusing to shut up about Warren.)
"If Warren opposed interracial marriages instead of gay marriages, I'm pretty sure Obama wouldn't be having him at the inauguration." Jewish Atheist

Let that comment sink in!

4. Before my little brother died of AIDS
I used to beat people up for calling him queer. I had hoped we had retired that word.

9. Some use it, some don't.
Personally, I don't find it to be a "bad" word unless it is used as such. "Queer" means 'odd or unusual," personally, I kinda like that. Queer is similar, IMHO, to "bitch." It can be a good thing or a bad thing; it depends on circumstance and intention.

As an older brother (three younger brothers), I don't want to imagine your loss. May your memories of him bring you smiles everyday of your life.

6. although I'm trying to move on from this, because I think Obama is stubborn (as all pres. are)
I recall a comment tonight from MSNBC on Rachel, the guy said if the Reverend Warren had said that Jewish marriages were akin to marriages involving children, your sister, or multiples wives - and therefore do not warrant any type of protection or discussion in our mainstream society - then Obama would never put him on as the Inaugural Invocation hand-picked prayer appointee - however, we are told he supports us while actually choosing to put a man up in that position who would say such a thing just 3 days ago - and not say "although I chose him, I find his words just the other day insinuating Gay people are similar to pedophiles, polygamists and those who would commit incest, insulting!" - but he can't say that, because if he did he'd have to remove him from the prayer - notice how he avoided the controversy.

Which is what I would do if you would all stop making good posts stating your frustration over it just like I share! ha

12. And, according to 'Swinging Dick' Warren, women are
spiritually inferior, needing constant supervision to make sure they are submissive enough. But, I should just STFU about it, because why? That's the way the majority of American perceive women.

After 8 years of this BS from the Bush/Cheney Administration, it looks like we might be in for another 4 years.

I shall now be watching closely to see if Obama tries to undo the anti-women regulations that Bush put into place last minute, or if there is nothing he can do about. So sorry.

17. There is no "moving on from this" until Rick Warren says no
or Obama withdraws the invitation.

14. I'm afraid you're right.
Racial prejudice is no longer socially acceptable, especially by an AA politician. Prejudices that still are are subject to risk/benefit analysis.
