I just wanted to say that I like Obama's labor secretary pick.
Since I criticize him a lot, I figured I'd give a nod of support for doing something right. The labor pick shows that he's not going full out Republican repeat. She seems okay. Hopefully he won't "balance" things out by appointing assholes to the National Labor Relations Board to make up for a pro-labor labor secretary.

This doesn't mitigate the vicious, unnecessary, and divisive choice of Warren. But since I criticize, I'd also like to give him a nod when he does what he was hired to do.

1. I like that pick too, there has only
been one Cabinet pick that I don't like and that would be Salazar.:puke:

2. This is the first major pick I like and its one of the most important in my opinion.
I don't know much about her but it seems like a good pick and it would be easy to get a worse pick through. Given the other picks, I was half-expecting someone far worse. Considering Holder's support of Chiquita's use of murderous paramilitary thugs against union activists, I didn't have too much hope. But I'm glad we'll have someone who won't decimate the little bit of labor power we have left after 8 years of Republicans.

3. me too
Why isn't she part of the economic team?

The capitalists have their men (and a couple of women) on the team.

Why isn't Labor part of that team?
