That makes sense, it does look a bit like Salazar. He is a dem, not a repubic, but he is a conservative dem. His appointment may get us a progressive in that seat in the Senate.

13. Well heck, I had "Interior" right and "Colorado" right -- and I listened to his acceptance speech

on Public Radio and by the time he got through thanking all his friends and most of his relatives and various selected ancestors "for where I am today," I just assumed he was a Republican.

Tom Vilsack (Dem, Iowa, Agriculture*) made a speech that was a concise little gem by comparison.

If you get a chance to hear the two acceptance speeches back-to-back, you will see vividly how vast differences in character can be revealed in a few thoughts/sentences. Vilsack is going to do a good job for us, I think.
