The Utah National Guard headquarters building is currently being evacuated due to a suspicious package that was received in the mailroom, according to Lt Colonel Hank Mcintire. At about 10:30 Tuesday morning, a mailroom worker found a package with a white powdery substance. Fearing the material may be potentially harmful, the employee notified authorities. Approximately 400 to 500 people were evacuated from the facility at 12953 South Minuteman Drive in Draper. Local police and hazmat crews are investigating to determine what the substance is. It is not known at this time where the package came from or who it was intended to be delivered to. Letters in several of the states have led to office shutdowns or evacuations over the last several days. Tests indicate the powder found in Idaho, Florida, Georgia, Kansas, North Dakota and the Utah capitol isn't harmful.
