The National Park Service, the federal agency that oversees national parks, has courted controversy by approving a text that uses creationism to describe the origins of the Grand Canyon. An article at Reason magazine now reveals that the service has likely violated its own rules in approving the book for sale.

A Different View (2003), which says that the canyon was created during the Biblical Flood 4,500 years ago, 23 other books were rejected for sale in the park's bookstores.

5. Did you actually read the article?
I think not as the article in Reason linked from raw story directly addresses the PEER complaint that misstated the problem, and speaks directly of the Skeptics article.

You might try checking your own facts.

3. This is an old story of sorts. The book was approved...
I just don't think it came out that they broke their own rules. But if they didn't, there needs to be NEW rules...
