Are Republicans just at the "Hitler in the bunker" stage or something?
Calling in imaginary divisions (of evangelical voters) to save themselves? Or maybe just nihilists in the bunker hoping to take down every German/American life with their own political fortunes?

This doesn't make sense even from the perspective of only representing corporate greed.

I don't get it any more.

2. How can we get to the "Hitler shoots himself" stage?
After which we can proceed to the "some guy burns the body" stage.

5. Don't forget about "Hitler's associates get a date with a war crimes tribunal".
How do we get to that point?

4. No, they're where the Wehrmacht sees US tanks coming at them in the last
ground battle and a German officer says "Where are those tanks coming from?"

Swell the martial music. Wehrmacht soldiers turn tail and run as the Dems roll in on their tanks.

"The End." Roll the credits.

6. The masks are completely off
They don't have to pretend any more to be even remotely likable even to their base.

It's going to matter to Southern evangelicals that they let NASCAR go down the tubes. For many in the South, it's entertainment and work, and not just those in the industry. For example, there's a whole sort of town complex that has been built up over the years to accommodate all the visitors to Charlotte (Lowes) Motor Speedway, for instance. All the people who work in those business and shops, and restaurants will be thrown out of work.

The don't get the connection between working at a Honda plant on monday and taking the family and camping at a race for a few days on the weekend.

But, the good news is they in all likelihood are about to.

9. I was wondering about this and the Big Three problems "up north"
is there some schadenfreude in seeing northern industry tank, among the southern repugs?

11. The Republicans lost the north the way the Democrats had lost the South
and I do think that after this election cycle some of them just decided to write the north off. Like there's no chance of them getting anyone elected here for a generation, so they don't care anymore what damage they do up here.

12. I agree, it's hard to figure out what the heck is going on..
with Cheney talking about Herbert Hoover time, and they continue to defy the administration, it's hard to know who's on what side.
