The Southern Scab, in fact, thrives on tough, ignorant talk from a variety of sources: politicians on their podiums, preachers in their pulpits, and right-wing radio pundits in anonymous studios far off in radio-land .. all these, and more, come to mind.

The Southern Scab also enjoys his/her quality of life: relatively good working hours (lotsa huntin' 'n fishin' .. you betcha!), fairly good health benefits, a decent vacation, and one of the safest work-places in the world. The Southern Scab has no clue as to what transpired in the labor movement to secure what both union and non-union workers enjoy in this country, and that scab has no interest in learning the history of the US labor movement.

The Southern Scab is a tough bird, but not tough enough to go on strike for economic justice. The Southern Scab is enjoying a free ride on the backs of all my union sisters and brothers that have blazed the trail.
