Two terms for the country to get over another Bush--like the two Clinton terms between Bushies. Will this country go down that path yet again!?

6. Odds are better that the big meteorite will strike instead...
Nobody's gonna be winning with the name Bush for a few decades at least.

7. not likely
He will be in 2016 1 year older than his brother is right now. Meaning he might look past it by then. He wasn't the most attractive man to begin with.

10. No way in hell. Excuse my language.
By that time President Obama will have shown the country what a President who cares about the people and about serving them can do.
No Bush will ever ever hold a position of power in this country again.
That's my position and I'm sticking to it.

12. Pretty much impossible at this point
The Bush clan is finished in American politics because of W. The only good thing he ever did in my opinion.

14. Mel Martinez is keeping a seat warm for Jeb
in the Senate. It is a very real possibility that the fibrous turd that is Jeb Bush will bob to the surface again in 2010.

15. Good if we don't corral the neo-cons into their place and don't
let them out again. That means, indictments and trials for corruption and criminal and treasonous acts, making the media stop spreading their propaganda and most of all taking the money out of elections. We need to really clean up how we do elections. If we do, we will never see a Bush or any of their clones in public office ever again.

17. If times get better,
the masses tend to forget what got them there ...

Witness 2000 ... when Bill Clinton took office, there was debt and a recession ... from 12 years of Republicans running the top office ...

Repukes took Dem angst toward Clinton signing the Bush-negotiated NAFTA, along with a molehill built up to a mountain (the bank check scandal, with names of offending Repukes conveniently not hyped as much as Dems), and took charge of the House and Senate ... to great fanfare, and Newt Gingrich impersonating Sherman ...

Repukes tried to railroad Clinton on the budget (including in 1993/1994 not casting one vote in favor of Clinton's budget, washing their hands of the "economic ruin" that they said it guaranteed), even to the point of shutting down the Govt. offices, trying to force BC to sign THEIR budget ... (one Rush Limbaugh broadcast said that BC's and the Repukes were "almost identical, so why won't he sign theirs?" - meaning that it HAD to be a Repuke victory) ...

As the Clinton years were winding down, the Repukes' vision of economic ruin was failing, and the country was facing a surplus for one of the few times in its history since 18something ...

as one RWer in Cleveland put it, if we were at war, if the economy was in ruins, the impeachment would not have occurred because there would be much bigger things on people's minds ... but, as it were, the Repukes were able to draw attention toward yet another molehill, and then ran on a blow*ob into the 2000 election, because people thought "oh, how bad could it really get if we let the Republicans run the show?"

18. They say Cock Roaches can survive a nuclear attack....
.. the Neocons have pretty much destroyed the world economy.. have the U.S. mired in hopeless wars we can never win.. and are in the process of destroying the currency.

But...if there is anything left to salvage in 2016... I'm sure Jeb Bush and his buddies will be there to feast on the carcass.
