Brazil police officer may be serial killer of gays
http://www.365gay.com/news/brazil-police-officer-may-be-serial-killer-of-gays/

(Sao Paulo, Brazil) Brazilian officials say a state police officer may be involved in the murders of 13 gay men in a low-income suburb of Sao Paulo.

The Sao Paulo State Public Safety Department says a police sergeant is suspected of taking part in the killings that occurred between February 2007 and August 2008 at the Paturis Park, a favorite meeting point for gay men.

The department said Wednesday that neither the sergeant nor anyone else has been arrested in the case. It said it would not provide further details to avoid jeopardizing the investigation.

1. A Brazilian John Wayne Gacy?
I say that because Gacy was thought to be acting partly out of repressed homosexual feelings, a part of himself that he passionately hated. I mean, this is a guy who sodomized and strangled over 30 young men and teenaged boys, then later referred to them publicly as "worthless little queers."

The human mind is really a terrifying thing. I think I'll be sleeping a little less soundly tonight, on account of having read this. :scared:

4. or like Randy Kraft

It doesn't always mean that they hate gays or that they are self-hating. Maybe they get off on the killing itself, just like some straight people do.

7. Yeah, I was just speculating.
And Jeffrey Dahmer, for instance, wasn't apparently homophobic or self-loathing despite his targeting of other men. He was just a sick mofo. :P

2. Hopefully, he is the killer. Hopefully, he will be locked up for life.

5. I am generally not one for life long punishment, I believe in forgiveness.
But this guy is too disturbed, too dangerous to be around others unrestrained.

6. Unfortunately, Brazilian law is too lenient (I don't believe I'm saying these words)
in heinous crime cases. Namely, there's no life sentences, and even when a person is sentenced to, let's say, four consecutive 20-year sentences, there's loopholes enough for them to get out in 25-30 years or so, tops.

And of course, there's the lunatics who keep clamoring for the death penalty, even though it's SO unconstitutional even moving to amend the Constitution to allow it is unconstitutional. Some people act and think as if only extremes exist.

8. The law in Norway is similar - I think 22 years is the maximum sentence allowed.
Google "Varg Vikernes" - this guy savagely murdered his former friend, was convicted, and even made multiple escape attempts, and he's still close to being paroled just 15 years after the crime.

10. Norway is taking this rehabilitation thing just a bit too far for my taste. 15 years served
in exchange for taking someone's life. Now that's what I call a deal. A sick fucking deal.

9. OMG. Thirteen gay men? If that police officer is the one who did it,
I hope he never sees the light of day again.

Those poor men, having their lives end in terror at the hands of a hateful bigot. And those poor families, who have lost their loved ones.
