2. yup
Interestingly, normally ultra-reactionary Democrat Gene Taylor (MS) is a sure vote against working families but apparently he had some sort of an epiphany tonight and voted "yes".

12. That's pretty darn amazing consider the state! I am always amazed when people from
the "DEEP SOUTH" vote to do good. I'm so used to people from the Deep South voting to do evil, wrong, or in favor of stupid-ass religious/pseudo-patriotic things.

24. You need some help with math?
Half of the twenty were from the South. Ten. How many deep south democratic representatives voted for the measure? I think you should have that number on the tip of your tongue considering your bigoted attitude toward the deep south.

Half of the number were not from the deep South. Some were from California and Wisconsin. Which I am sure you expect "good" things from.

As a liberal southerner who has had to contend you people like you all his life, I can only say that prejudice and bigotry take many forms and you perfectly demonstrate one type of it.

31. This was never an attack on the people of the Deep South. Just their shitty politicians.
Most Deep South Dems tend to be reactionaries....whether the people in their districts intended to vote for a reactionary or someone who will stand up for working families is another story.

39. BS. Look at what that was in response to:
I am always amazed when people from the "DEEP SOUTH" vote to do good. I'm so used to people from the Deep South voting to do evil, wrong, or in favor of stupid-ass religious/pseudo-patriotic things.

That is clearly an attack on the people of the deep south.

One less than the southern total.

So just what was your point?

Reactionaries are everywhere.

Edited on Wed Dec-10-08 09:43 PM by KoKo01
:eyes: I have no idea what this vote is about. He's from a Dem congressional district in NC that's not Conservative. I'll have to check this out. I have no idea why he voted like this unless he has a Toyota or Kia plant in his district...

27. Now how did I know that Jim Marshall's name would be on there?
Oh yeah...because he is the only - ONLY - Democrat to have voted against SCHIP. He is a flaming bastard and I would have gladly seen him lose his seat to any asshole Republican because then you would have a real R in that seat instead of the wolf in sheep's clothing that he is.

Jim Marshall - you are an asshole.

33. I am regularly apalled by Jim Marshall, my representative.
He votes my way about 50% of the time. That's only marginally better than the 0% I'd get from a real Republican.

The United States is a LIBERAL Country.
