O'Reilly's Great American Holiday Quiz

Despite his annual tirades against the so-called War on Christmas and people who say “Happy Holidays,” Fox News host Bill O’Reilly has a “Great American Holiday Quiz” up on the Parade Magazine website:

1. O'Reilly being a hypocrite?
A draft dodger who never served America, but who promotes war?

A war-against-Christmas delusional freak who is making money promoting 'holidays'?

Why am I unsurprised.

2. That's odd.
Despite his anti-semitic "War on Christmas" the people who wrote his quiz included a number of questions on Hanukkah.

8. Standard pointless X-mas trivia.
Who came up with the character Rudolph the Red-nosed reindeer?

What's the biggest selling Chrismas music single in history?

Which state first made X-mas an official holiday?

Hanukkah means what in Hebrew?

And so on.

And of course pretty biased but commercial. I only got 28 right.

And although Kwanza and Hanukkah, Christmas gets all the attention.

No mention of the pagan origins of the holidays- but no mention of the pagan origins of Judaism or Christianity either.

I say

Bring back Zeus!!! And if we can't find him, Odin.

4. Hey Billo!
Although the holiday is a minor one in the Jewish religious calendar, it is one of the most widely-celebrated Jewish holidays among American Jews.

Guess what? Nowhere in the scriptures does it mention anything regarding a celebration or anything to do with the day of Jesus' birth.

Christians stole the holiday from pagans.

10. It's unlikely that Billo created the quiz
Remember this is the guy who calls upon his minions to boycott stores whose employees say "happy holidays."

I think he hates Kwanzaa even more than he hates solstice celebrations.

12. But that makes no sense
What possible use would someone so intimately familiar with multiple cultures and beliefs want with Billo's book? That would be like giving a Nobel prize winner a copy of Ben Stein's Expelled.

I'm surprise that Papa Bear allowed his name to be associated with such heresy.

13. Isn't a common prize at Spelling Bs a dictionary?
I don't get it either. Good quiz of Holiday trivia, tho.
