2. what dog was really doing
I saw the clip and my thought was this: I have seen dogs trying to mount a dead dog in heat and that appeared to what the dog was doing. I don't want to piss on anyone's interpretation and the dog may truly have been attempting a benevolent rescue; this was just my reaction.

3. I think he was trying to protect the injured dog
by huddling over it. He dragged the wounded dog across the entire traffic lane, i think he was trying to save it and not "hump" it :)

4. No way. The dog used its front legs to actually move the injured dog across a lane of the
highway.
