2. Thank you so much for this!
I remember it like it was yesterday.
We cried so hard that night.
I wonder what he would have thought of today's world.. and what he would have done to try to change it!
RIP John
We still LOVE you!!

6. The day the music died
I'm still not over it.

And a month and half later, Reagan was inaugurated. Things haven't been the same since...

8. My mom has long thought the same.
Whenever the subject of Lennon comes up - she and my Dad are huge Beatles fans, something they passed on to their kids - she'll mention her belief that Lennon's death was the exact moment when society really started going downhill.

I wasn't alive when he was, but his music and words have still had a strong influence over me...

9. Your parents and I would get along
When you start to think of it, things did go downhill. The "Reagan Revolution" and MTV were right around the corner. Music had lost its soul, in my opinion.

7. I remember that day
it was an Indian summer day on the 8th, sunny hot and humid around 80 degrees which was hot for NYC this time of year. The next day it rained and got frigid and gloomy grey, the temp must have dropped 50 degrees it was almost as if God Himself was crying along with us

10. 28 years later, it still hurts.
I always wonder what he'd think of BushCo and everything that's been happening to this country.

Miss you, John.
