Gergen on CNN: why won't this admin let the staff testify?

:wow:

Why doesn't he want to get this over with and get something done? What's the constitutional problem with waiving executive privilege? Sense of entitlement with this bunch.

1. At this point in time...
"getting something done" simply means "survive until January of 2009." Preferably in office.

2. David! Don't you understand? They can't letthe staff testify.......
truthfully! They'd all be charged with perjury, or if they told the truth the ENTIRE Admin. would go to prison!

5. He was subpeonaed
but decided not to fight it to protect privilidge.

So now Bush can be the one to destroy it.

4. David is a little slow
He doesn't know what a 'blog' is.

If he would take the time to read TPM he might get informed.

He doesn't want to know what's going on. It would disrupt his careful little world

6. Even some RW doofus on FOX Noise said Bush should
let them testify under oath to get it over and done with. Of course, he presumes Rove will testify honestly, no lies. Probably thinks Rove is as sinless as Jesus.

7. Alternate view: He thinks Rove will lie successfully.

8. Honest men have nothing to hide
Bush & Co prefer to hide. Hence, dishonest men.
