Rec if you think Jeb Bush should stay the hell away from the White House.
Edited on Wed Dec-03-08 11:29 PM by JDwho
He now is serous about the Florida senate seat...

Not only was he the Florida Governor during the 2000 presidential election debacle, it seems that he
takes his orders from his older brother, "W".

This is what Big Bro' said of Jeb:
Jeb's my little brother, he's done what I've told him to all his life. ~ George W. Bush in The New York Times article "Two brothers share a quest, but not a style" (November 5, 1994)
http://en.wikiquote.org/wiki/Jeb_Bush

Wow, that's comforting...

Now, where did I put that necklace of garlic and those wooden stakes???

and if another Bush gets in the WH even I'm considering moving. From Pappy Bush's profiteering during WW11 to the warmongering of son and junior-son they've all had a hand in causing too much human misery. Another Bush in the White House is all the world needs for complete meltdown. JMO.

We don't need Jeb or any of the other progeny from that union. It will take centuries to undo what George has done and, according to recent interviews, he doesn't even think he's done anything wrong.

...or Bush and Cheney are going to pay for their crimes; or Nancy Pelosi will also go to jail because investigations on her proved her actions were treasonous when she took the impeachment of Bush and Cheney off the table.

9. Think we could file a restraining order...
for all Bush and their descendants to stay within a certain yardage/mileage from DC. altogether?
He should let his last name cool off, for say, 200 years...then consider running. Oh, that's right, he wouldn't be around...just like his Dad said about his apathy for future history books about him.

15. How about
a Constitutional amendment to prohibit familial succession to the Oval Office? Seriously, we got way too close to an inherited monarchy. W couldn't get elected, he had to be 'installed.' A couple of centuries into this grand experiment, we have way too large a population to have the highest seats of power continuously occupied by members of only a few families. Or maybe just a couple of simple requirements, like having to be six times removed or waiting a hundred years. Just a thought.

16. It's a nice idea...and the consequences if he's elected aren't good...

snip ~ His entry would clear the field for the Republicans, and might knock a few Democrats out of

the field as well, although it being an open-seat race, someone decent would no doubt take the

plunge, figuring that the toxicity of the Bush name alone could help out, despite Jeb's personal

popularity~

Daily Kos

Let's hope that "toxicity" is long felt and remembered by those in Florida.

~ Gov. Jeb Bush ignored advice to throw out a flawed felon voter list before it went out to county

election offices despite warnings from state officials~ AP (2004)

Apparently, 2,500 felons had their voting rights restored. But, little brother didn't want the ex-

felons, who are more likely to be of a lower income class, to get that chance at the polls.

Did he fear they would vote Democrat? I'm sure this is least of what he's done.

outlawing ANYONE named Bush* from serving in the federal government. Period. Second we'd consider using forced sterilization on the Bush* family to break their breeding cycle; and third, we'd exhume deceased family member's remains and drive stakes through their hearts.

Jeb gets his marching orders from the head of the family, and that's not Dubya. Dubya may be the eldest sibling and heir-apparent, but he's also a "high functioning moron" and a proved incompetent. Jeb is actually a smart man, and can run mental circles around his older brother. That said, yes the Bush* family would ABSOLUTELY LOVE to position Jeb to rise to power. Jeb was always Poppy's favorite and his choice as patriarchal successor. And most important, Jeb could begin to rehabilitate the Bush* name, which definitely needs some rehabilitation since the Dubya pResidency. Not only the worst President ever, but a smelly shitstain in the Bush* family undies. You want to know why Poppy cried? Because his oldest son is a disappointment non-parallel.

that he knows how to steal and cheat. He proved that in 2000 and 2004. He and his party would steal an election without blinking a patriotic eye.
This time, though, he has us to deal with and for most of us (dare I say, all), another Bu$h in the WH, or for that matter, in a senate seat, makes us physically ill. That should factor in a bit...although there is still that "master of thieves" quality about him. I also think his family (connected with others) would make it possible for him to make a run at it. Like you said, he probably feels it's his destiny.

66. Charlie Crist was hand picked
by Jeb for the top job in Florida. It was an easy election. In addition, Jeb was very popular here, and would easily get the Senate seat if he wanted it. Also, for those of you who think that this country would never elect another Bush, think again. The Republicans know that Florida would turn back to red in a heartbeat for him. Thats pretty significant. The base is, as we already know, crazy. A few more tweaks and we're screwed again. Keep in mind also, as all the blogs indicate, if Obama doesn't satisfy the needs of everyone that supported him, pick only "approved" members for his cabinet, get everyone a job, health care, oh, and pull us out of Iraq and Afghanistan, many of his supposed supporters will cry disappointment, disenfranchisement, or whatever. Therefore, head back to the apathetic bullshit that got us in to this mess in the first place.

These people are evil and, worst yet, they know that the left is easy to fracture. They know our weaknesses, and we keep feeding them.

We came together to elect Obama and change the direction of this country. Make no mistake about it, our enemies are plotting.

70. Jeb bush, you have GOT to be kidding me!!!!!!!!
Edited on Fri Dec-05-08 01:25 PM by Stevethetruck
Prescott bush, dubya's grandpappy had his banks shut down by the Government via the "TRADING WITH THE ENEMIES' act for actively banking for HITLER, after we had declared war. Prescott and Gen. Smeadley also had a plan to assassinate FDR and put our Govt. under Hitler's control.

Then G.H.W. "POPPY" bush, former director of he C.I.A. (who was in Dallas during the JFK assassination) brought you Arms for Hostages/Iran Contra, where he who illegally sold arms in Iran to fund Nicaraguan TERRORISTS and was using cocaine sales to fund the illegal actions against that DEMOCRATICALLY ELECTED Govt. A director of the C.I.A. under President Carter, bush had Manuel NORIEGA installed as director of INTERPOL before Noriega started dealing drugs to both sides and bush had to shut him down. bush and Ollie North were running coke all over the world. Then bush and RUMMY sold nerve gas to the puppet dictator that they installed in IRAQ, SADDAM HUSSEIN. Our Govt. had nothing to say when Saddam used the nerve gas we sold him on his own Kurdish people. Remember the photos?

Then the was Neil bush, who brought us the SAVING AND LOAN SCANDAL.

Marvin bush, another good son owned the company that security for the World Trade Center, United Airlines, and Dulles International Airport.

Then along comes W! He shredded our BELOVED Constitution, tortured prisoners who were held without charges or representation, indefinitely, going directly against the GENEVA CONVENTIONS and abandoning HABEUS CORPUS (Innocent until proven guilty) which has been around since the MAGNA CARTA was signed in the 1200's! Not in AMERICA, anymore.

He spied on AMERICANS and ruined our reputation all over the world. He and 20 years of Repellican rule in the Senate and Congress, deregulated us right into this Depression. (keep calling it a recession but, eventually, you'll realize it's a DEPRESSION)

He DELIBERATELY lied us into a war of aggression against a country that had NOTHING TO DO WITH 911, had NO WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION (he used them on the Kurds, remember?) and had done NOTHING to harm the U.S.A.

cheney and bush orchestrated the "FALSE FLAG" of 911 to SCARE us into going along with the ILLEGAL, UNDECLARED war on Iraq which has now cost the lives of over 4000 of our kids and 1.2 MILLION INNOCENT IRAQI CIVILIANS. (Hitler kills 6 million and is regarded as the worst person in history. How may does bush have to kill to get bad press?)

Now, you want Jeb bush to run? WHAT FUCKING REALITY DO YOU LIVE IN?

By the way, none of this is "THEORY" check the facts!!

71. Oh, I believe none of that is theory...it's the hell of our history with the Bushes...
I don't want Jebo to run, but I think the right would grasp onto him like static cling. I don't want him in that senate seat...too close for comfort. And, I don't in any way doubt that he would try to continue the criminal family legacy through the presidency. Man, for the first time, I wish I lived in Florida, so I could work for the campaign opposing Jeb Bush for Senate.

72. Jeb Bush is a ultra-conservative Catholic convert
I would not be surprised if he is actually a member of the conservative Catholic cult of Opus Dei. Nor would I be surprised if their rising star Bobby Jindal is also a member judging by their rigid orthodoxy. The members of this radical sect have infiltrated a number of high government positions. Pope John Paul II authorized this cult and was most probably a secret member.

73. I would like to add this fact:
Jeb Bush was one of the founding members of the PNAC. The very orgainization that is responsible for taking us to war in Iraq. It is not unusual for members of the very radical orgainizations to also be members of religious conservative organizations.
