3. Sounds like turnout wasn't nearly what it was during the general
election. I don't know how anyone, even in Georgia, could vote for that piece of shit.
I still think he's related to Robert "Dynamite Bob" Chambliss. He looks like a KKKlukkker.

we are being blamed as ignorant fools who didn't GOTV or have a ground game.

I guess all of those people working their asses off against a terrified republican base don't count. Nor the 200,000 purged voters. We suck here and we're all racists and the rest of the country should write us off. Or at least that's what I'm told.

Too bad we can't get some well-deserved consoling here. We're now stuck with a person (no, not sure about that) who will continue to decimate this state and veterans rights and national security. Ethics violations on the table right now. Anyone from Alaska, Texas or Minnesota (isn't that where McCarthy II is from?) out there who can relate to being judged based on things you fight against every day?

We tried. Many obstacles. Our SOS being one of them. People, even the GOP, hate Chambliss. He's a rather horrid person and he stole the first election. But after the Dem landslide, the Puke base was motivated en masse to "stop Obama!!!!".

When the sugar refinery business comes out, he may not be in office for long. We'll see.

Edited to add: for the above poster, yes, he does seem like a KKKer. After all, he refers to "our folks" needing to come out and vote, shutting the borders of GA down against brown people and more goodies. He's a real piece of work. I get why people think poorly of this state, but please don't turn your back on the many, many dems and libs and just decent people here who worked EVERY day on the Obama campaign and then on the Martin run-off.

7. I prefer to look at it this way
Chambliss still has a good bit of karmic debt to unfold. This is a guy with plenty of dark corners yet to be exposed to light. People of his caliber tend to fall harder and faster the more ambitious their reach. Do you think Sarah Palin helped him? However, I don't know what kind of person the Georgia governor would appoint.

Thinking people of Georgia, do not despair!

9. thank you, I needed that...and I believe in the scenario you described.
I don't see good things for him in the future. Too many things are coming out. I doubt Palin helped him -- no one covered her visit here. She was in my town and none of the networks called to grab any bites from her "rally".

I will sleep better after your post. Thanks. :pals:

8. Kudos for all your endeavors and fortitude living among jerks. I've lived in
red states, and it's very frustrating. Keep up the good work. Who knows, maybe slowly even Georgia will come around. Stranger things have happened...look at Florida.

I appreciate your positive thoughts:-)

I've never lived in a red state before and it's rather shocking. After * was "re-elected" I vowed to be somewhere where I could make a difference during the next election. So, here I am. I got what I wanted and I felt great being a part of the Obama change movement here.

There's so much hope for real change -- and when it happens here, I'll know we're moving forward without fail.

Thanks for the empathy! :pals:

Next time, we'll get him.
