Lam was a problem because she prosecuted the cases herself...

instead of managing her office. Among other "problems" listed in what appears to be talking points:

And most importantly:

I wonder if the Congressional Republicans stirred this up as a cover to criticize Lam.

1. Well, yeah.
Since one of the other guys was fired for NOT being "hands on." They never see the ironies.

3. Of course the real irony here is that they went from defending her...
to wanting to push her out in a short period of time.

2. One point about the immigration issue raised
Because of increased patrolling on the border near San Diego, the amount of illegal crossings has decreased drastically. That means less cases to prosecute.

Because of the increased patrolling near San Diego, Arizona saw a huge increase in illegal crossings and thus the number of cases also rose.

She is being unfairly criticized and persecuted.

4. Building "a permanent Republican majority" is what it's all about

Isn't Putin building a "permanent majority " in the former Russian democracy?

5. This point sure reads like a big contradiction - any thoughts?
First it complains about her "catch and release" policies then goes on to mention her 'failure to let alien smuggles back out onto the street by raising prosecution guidelines too hige' WTF? Perhaps this is referring to Bush Crime Family smugglers?

6. What exactly is she suppose to do about the "border issue"?
She's a prosecutor not an INS agent or a border guard.

And are my eyes playing tricks on me? "Despite it's size and population, it ranks 91 out of 93 in terms of average numbers of firearms cases since FY2000"
I guess a loyal Bushie is also a gun grabber.

7. Nothing "gun-grabber" about firearms prosecutions
I'm thinking that most gun owners or second-amendment-supporters are not opposed to prosecuting firearms cases. It's better to prosecute using the laws on the books than to ignore them and just pass more restrictive laws. At least this way, the odds are better that we're prosecuting real criminals, perhaps even reducing crime as a side-benefit.

New gun laws only restrict the law-abiding people. Criminals would tend to ignore them.

8. "She failed to tackle this responsiblity"?
"border enforcment is a top priority. It's important to our national security."

News Release
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
August 24, 2006

AFO Leader Francisco Javier Arellano-Felix Captured
DEA, U.S. Coast Guard Apprehend Cartel Leader off Coast of Southern California

“For over a decade, the Arellano-Felix family dominated the Mexican drug trade and flooded our nation with hundreds of tons of cocaine and marijuana, and massive quantities of methamphetamine and heroin,” said Administrator Tandy.

Javier Arellano-Felix, the last stronghold at the top of that cartel, is a violent drug kingpin wanted in the United States for numerous drug trafficking, conspiracy, and money laundering charges. He is considered threatening enough to our nation to warrant a $5 million US State Department reward for his capture. His arrest topples a dynasty built on violence and drugs and puts a chokehold on the destruction this brutal organization has caused in both the United States and Mexico,” said Tandy.
