The people did not vote for a "non-binding" resolution...
They voted the Democrats in across the board because they want something done about this tyrannical and dangerous White House. Just yesterday, Cheney was reported to have said 'It won't stop us", in regards to the escalation in Iraq. He said the president had made up his mind.

It's obvious nothing is going to stop these maniacs. Democrats and many Republicans need to understand that the people want something done about these power-mad and reckless leaders. We are not a monarchy. We are not ruled by a king. We, the people, are the rulers in this government. The sooner both Democrats and Repubs understand that, the better. The White House is not listening...

2. It's supposed to appease people who aren't paying attention
and it will work, to a large extent.

5. Do you mean placate, to make sure they don't start paying attention?

3. Perhaps They Will Listen To Thousands
Perhaps they will listen to thousands and thousand of angry people this week-end.

I'll be in Washington, DC for this week-end's march.

And I will not be quiet.

And I will not be the only noisy person.

4. Perhaps the Democrats should target the Repubs up for re-election...
next year? If they don't want to help get rid of these criminals, then perhaps we should make an extra effort to get rid of them??

6. A pleasant tasting placebo offered by the politicians to make you feel better.
Unfortunately, like most placebos it does nothing to remedy the illness.

7. EXACTLY
The non-binding resolution is a worthless waste of time.
The White House does not care what we want.
