Hank Williams Jr. to run for U.S. Senate (Shut up and sing!)
Just when you thought no worthwhile musician would ever support the Republican Party, Hank Williams Jr. comes a courtin'.

After consulting with Tennessee political veterans ex-Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist (R-TN) and Sen. Lamar Alexander (R-TN), the award-winning country singer famous for the hits "Family Tradition" and "There's a Tear in My Beer" is positioning himself for a Senate run in 2012, according to Townhall.com.

14. Is Bob Corker retiring?
Are Frist and Alexander throwing the junior senator from TN under the bus with four years left in his term? That's insane even by repub standards.

17. Oh Good God.
I live in Tennessee. What a fucking nightmare.

Can we sink any further?

I'm so sorry.

Maybe I can get Annie Potts or Samuel L. Jackson or Morgan Freeman or Dolly Parton or Kathy Bates to run as a Democrat. They are all from here (and I Jackson, Freeman and Parton still live here!)

21. I can't wait for someone to bring up his cocaine use.
He is an ignorant boob with money.
What a waste of time he will be. Go ahead GOP. Hank Williams Jr will be Mr Death come to visit your party.

I can't wait. I know folks that want to weigh in if this SOB tries to do anything to this precious country and it's Constitution.
The only reason he backed Palin is because he thought he could 'bed' her. I can imagine, Reporter: One question Mr Williams. Have you had sex with women other than your wife? Williams: Is that plural? You mean more than one?

It would be better than watching Palin crash.

:dem:

Without name recognition they'd have nothing else to run on. What a joke the GOP is turning into.
