Wow, I never thought I'd see gas less than $2/gal again.

20. Redding, California
They have some type of promotion where if you buy so much in groceries, you get so much off in gas.

14. Still over $2 in MD suburbs of DC. If gasoline stays down like this,
it will be difficult to get people to buy new small cars.

People who were thinking of ditching the SUV for a smaller car will probably keep the SUV.

I doubt that gasoline will go up until the world economy starts going again and the speculators invade the oil markets again. Or until Peak Oil really starts to pinch.

That could be a long time.

15. Honestly, with gas prices like this
I wouldn't mind having my Jeep back.

However, I haul dogs and tools and all sorts of shit. My poor Saab probably hates me.

16. I had a Jeep pickup. I miss it very much.
I inherited from my Dad who had an auto-body repair business.

The only problems out of the ordinary were a water pump and windshield wiper motor.

It died an accidental death at 113,000 miles. No one was hurt.

RIP

17. I traded mine in at 165,000 miles
Got it at 110k. The only time it "died" on me was a $400 repair, which wasn't bad. And, when I traded it in, the brake lines started to leak on the way to the dealership.

21. $1.70 in Dallas suburb
Filling up for $30. We only use 1/2 tank a week since I started using mass trans for work back when it was costing me $60/week/to fill up. Still staying w/ mass trans use, though.

Wonders what an election will do. I caught that in Palin's Thanksgiving talk the other day that she was condoling her people because the price of oil was dropping at an alarming rate. I about cracked up. That will not sit good for her popularity as governor. ;)
