Those cars won't be around anymore if they do. Lots of people have taken these up for real uses.

1. Somebody will buy them up. I'd bet real money if I had any.

2. Their cars look ugly though, if they're going to push them on us...

we need to make sure they're attractive. I think one reason people aren't buying these neighborhood electric vehicles is that they all look funny. Either like bugs with wheels like the GEM, or a Honda knock-off like the ZENN. We need an iCar. Something awesome and yet electric. Something people want to buy as soon as they have enough money to do so. Green has to be lust worthy. Kids have to be able to fantasize about owning an awesome electric car. Or at least, that's my two bits.

3. I think they are perfect for things like the depicted use - as a service vehicle

for some government entity. They would do well for a lot of business uses, too.

And frankly, if they were the only thing available, and SUVs far too expensive to maintain and gas up, they would be a HOOT to tool around my city in.
