for SOS. I would be interested to know if they have been interviewed and what their chances are of getting the job. Anyone heard? It seems to be all about HRC, as usual, but I think these are two outstanding gentlemen worthy of some coverage....

1. They are both more qualified.
But, remember, 18 million people voted for Hillary. :sarcasm:

7. Yes. Why does that bother you so much?
What woman would you prefer to vote for for President?

2. I think so
Frankly I'd be OK with any of the three, although I'd go Richardson Kerry Clinton if I were voting on who got the job. Not because I hate or even have major issues with any of them including that "last" place finisher, but solely on the basis of geopoloitical credentials.

But since Kerry ran for Pres and Richardson tried to, and was a cabinet secretary and UN ambassador to boot, I suspect any skeletons they have have been thoroughly decloseted.

5. Why? Not nearly as much fun to argue about.
Imagine the ratings if the media tried for an objective analysis of a story including all factors. Imagine what we'd fight about here at DU. Where would we ever get enough of an audience to finance the fist bump?

8. I suspect several others are also being vetted
the difference is they respect what is supposed to be a secret process and aren't waving their arms around like they're on fire like you-know-who.

From (and props to) ClarkUSA's original post:
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=132&topic_id=7881371&mesg_id=7881371

Team Obama, after all but offering SecState to Senator Clinton, is expressing EXASPERATION with the Clinton camp for the difficulty in getting a clean vet on President Bill Clinton’s many entanglements. “The ball is very much in her court, but the president's finances have been a major point of sensitivity from day one,” a Democratic official said. (“Day One!”)

“Given that everyone's mystified by how deliberately public the Clintons have made this once secret process, the assumption is either that the Clintons are trying to use the public buzz to steamroll their way in, create a sense of inevitability that overcomes those concerns, or that it's just a matter of time before they … satisfy vetting somehow, some way.

Otherwise, after all this speculation, there’ll be a permanent dark cloud hanging over her finances. … But generally the sense among the no-drama Obama world is: This is well on its way to winning best Oscar for drama.”
