Media hard at work,, appointing Obama's cabinet...
"Well, we've been talking all weekend about Hillary Clinton for SoS, so it would be a PROBLEM for him not to do it now, wouldn't it?"
-heard on Morning Joe

"The possibility of Gates staying on is all they're talking about over at Defense"
"Well Barbara, this seems to be a pattern, no one has come out to strongly deny the rumor"
- heard on CNN

It all sound like a Tom Tomorrow cartoon

1. They tried to appoint the president, too, and it didn't work.
I listen to these talking heads, but the more I do, the less weight I give them. You are right; they are trying to be relevant, but I'm thankful most thinking people see through what they're doing.

3. Ding ding we have a winner
If talking heads kept their jobs based on truth versus spin, most of them would be homeless and living in cardboard boxes.

4. So very true
since I quit watching or listening to the daytime news-soaps I find myself much better informed about everything. A little DU and a little googling goes a long ways in finding out whats really happening. I recommend it highly :-)

5. I agree with you 100%
I have done the same thing, and it's wonderful for the mind not to listen to the verbal vomit every day.

9. To me I asked myself one day
self, if you are trying to make good decision in your everyday life then why willfully listen to shit, lies and all that other stuff.

Maybe after a news corporations purge I will go back. In the mean time I'm liking this interactive concept.

2. it's like the drum for two weeks about
how Obama would need to govern from the center right and include Republicans in his cabinet. Now it is "Well, there will be a big public backlash now if he DIDN'T pick Hillary..." Surrrre. Backlash from the media, I think they mean. They are such drama queens.

6. Don't forget
He won't win the primaries
he won't fight back - people like aggressive candidates
he's too white
He's too black
Hillary voters won't elect him
Hispanics won't vote for him
Bradley effect
Few of them took on the Rethugs re socialist, etc but now he must remember that he was elected by the center. M$Greedia is comic relief - I guess the only thing on their evaluation forms is ratings.

7. We have to keep reminding the "unengaged" that the TV box lies to them.
Even after all the evidence is right in front of their noses, they will easily slip back into the comfortable slippers of "conventional wisdom".
