HA! Interesting tidbit.
Here's your (not so) totally useless fact of the day:

The three most valuable brand names on earth:
Marlboro, Coca Cola, and Budweiser, in that order.

They are all bad for you and they share the same colors. Hmmm...

I don't haVE THE LINK, BUT IT'S FROM "just free stuff".

2. Interesting abut the colors. I wonder about the test marketing of the colors.

3. Red is the color of power, consumption, passion, and impulse.
It's no mistake that all those brands use red.

4. All 3 addictive.
2 have obvious addictive ingredients.
Studies coming out now showing "high fructose corn syrup" changes body chemistry, causes cravings for it.
Sodas used to be made with sugar, remember.

5. And try to find a product NOT made with high fructose corn syrup
-- at the regular grocery stores anyway --

I started a few months ago to avoid all products with high fructose corn syrup. For the first few weeks, I struggled just to find bread in our local grocery store that didn't have it. Even some of the lunch meat I was buying for my kids' lunches had it. It's everywhere!

10. No kidding
I have tried that, and it's just about impossible. You basically have to go into the organic section, where everything costs a lot more.

6. Caffeine is also addictive. No need to look into HFCS.
Shit, coke used to have Cocaine. Imagine how well that would sell if they reintroduced it.

9. Great idea.
If it just weren't for the "progressive" part of addicting substances.
Boooshed, anyone?

Huge little know drug problem early 19th century with OTC opium, laudanum, etc. in "medicines". Mother regularly used stuff like that to put the babies/toddlers to sleep for the night.
After having 5 to 11 kids, mothers used for themselves, too.
It may not have been acceptable for women to "drink" but they sure "take to their rooms with a sick headache" a lot.

( I am a history buff of that time period).

11. I have had soda with just sugar
no HFCS, in France.
It tasted a lot better, IMO.
I wish we would go back to that.
