What will become of political comedy and satire once Obama is sworn in?
For example, what will become of http://www.whitehouse.org and other Bush Bashing sites? The Daily Show, Colbert, Real Time, etc...

Will Obama get ripped to bits on the web, in music, film and comedy as brutally and cleverly as * has been?

If so, I've got a feeling that it will come from the right, will suck hard and be painfully unfunny.

What will progressive political satire be like in the Obama era?

You tell me.

2. What? You cant make fun of government just because a democrat is in the white house?
Comedians will poke fun at him tonight about the Nancy Reagan comment. Comedians were able to make fun of Clinton (and still do) and were able to make it funny. Jon Stewart and Steven Colbert will have no problem making the news funny.

what I am suggesting is that I don't think Obama will be incompetent like Bush - so what will there be to make fun of?

4. No, Obama won't get ripped to shreds, and the * bashing sites
hoped they'd be out of business 4 years ago. They might be grateful, or change their name.

The political comedians can go after the right and their attempts to get their act together.

As for Obama, if he messes up royally, they will go after him and should, but I don't see that happening.

5. The Congress is full of Repub morons to skewer. Also, comedy talk shows
are looking forward to Biden's foot-in-mouth gaffes. They'll be fun.

6. What? The Rethuglicans will disappear? Michelle Bachmann is going away?
Are you kidding? Plus, Joe Biden will be fun, on our side.

Will be tough, tough times, but as always, humor will help us through it.

7. Don't worry...they'll be around
Just look at the Top 10 repug list every now and then. In addition, BushCo still has to be brought up on charges so we will have fun at that time as well.

I personally am going to torment Sarah Palin every chance I get. She and her family are excellent targets.

Rush Windbag and Bill O'Reilly can still be skewered. And when we get the new house minority leaders, we can bag on them as well.

By the way, don't worry about Obama. Most of the Hollywood comedians are progressive socialists, so any joking will be in good fun, nothing like the repugs deservedly get.

8. * was just such joke-friendly material.....Obama's a much more difficult target.
I can't imagine Obama saying, "Too many good docs are gettin' out of the business. Too many docs can't practice their love with women all over America."
