1. especially
when more streight people are getting divorced than ever. I think it boils down to them being worried about gay people adopting kids and raising them.

3. The law doesn't allow the kind of marriage that they want, so everyone else should be denied, too

5. The problem isn't when they're all alive
But Mormons have a peculiar habit of baptizing and marrying ancestors together long after they've died. Same sex marriages would totally complicate that, right?

Plus, their genealogy software can't handle it....

Hell, I don't know. Just thought I'd give it a shot. :eyes:

7. LDS has to justify its lies - "we dont hate gays"/"we are protecting marriage"
have heard this out of many Mormons especially official spokespersons, lately. We don't hate gays and we are protecting traditional marriage.

I have an LDS church recreation/party area over my back wall and I hear how they talk when they think nobody is listening.

Maybe they are taking out their inferiority complexes on the glbt community since they get nowhere taking it out on other christian groups.

After all the gay community is the last group in American that it is still ok to hate and murder.

14. Because they're the bastards who bankrolled it.
And churches have no goddamned (or Elohim-damned) business writing laws.

17. I've had Mormons as friends, relatives, and even a girlfriend briefly
We didn't stay together once I told her that conversion was "off the table", but I digress.....

I have nothing against the LDS church, aside from this fucking bigotry AND their belief that they can rewrite the laws of a state that they aren't even based in AND remove existing civil rights from American citizens.

That is inexcuseable.

they (LDS) are intolerant, so fuck them and their magical Skydaddy underwear.

On edit: as an organization, they are against civil rights for all- that should make them enemies of america.

16. Mitt Romney: "I believe that marriage should be between a man and a woman..."
"...and a woman, and a woman, and a woman..."

Note: perhaps the only joke Mittens has told in his entire life points up that, not all that long ago (a little over a century), it was the Mormons who were on the short end of the "traditional marriage" stick.

18. We are not the thought and belief police...
I don't care what they think and believe... they have a right to private thoughts and beliefs. What they don't have the right to do is to force others to adhere to their own thoughts and beliefs.

For me, this is the crux of the matter.
