Chris Matthews screwed up a West Wing reference
He mentioned Ron Silver as the cos to Martin Sheen. He was thinking of John Spencer.

He was the intense, driven "ramrod" member of the Cabinet ...

... they needed to create a 'pardon or not to pardon' drama for the last season/eppy ... :shrug:

I always liked Toby best of all of President Bartlett's staff ... :)

3. John Spencer was so great.
It was so weird that the plot had included his character having a heart attack...and then life imitated art.

people would tell you there's a WORLD of difference between those two people.

Poor John, he's probably turning over in his grave right now at that comparision--my understanding is that Mr. Silver butted heads with quite a few of the cast members over political beliefs . . . .
